You are invited to a public open event at the Benacre and Kessingland Flood Risk Management Project. Now we are in the second year of construction we would like to take the opportunity for local communities and interested parties to see how the project is progressing and to learn more about the work being delivered on site.
Event Details:
The event will run in a free-flow format, so visitors are welcome to arrive at any time during the event. You will have the opportunity to:
There will also be the opportunity to attend one of two short project presentations, taking place at:
Please note that parking on site is limited, and attendance will therefore be managed on a first come, first served basis. Once the car park is full, we will unfortunately be unable to accommodate any additional visitors.
There is a One-way system in place from the A12 to the Benacre site, returning to the A12 via Locks Lane. A 20mph speed limit is in force throughout the route.
We ask all visitors to remain alert to vehicle movements at all times. Parking in passing places along the access road will not be permitted. Public areas will be clearly segregated from operational site activities.
The walk to the construction area is approximately 800 metres (½ mile) in total. A limited number of site vehicles will be available to assist visitors who may have difficulty walking this distance.
To help manage numbers, this invitation is being shared with parish councils and our mailing list; however, this is a public event and open to all.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation and we look forward to welcoming you to site.
